Delete your account & data

You can ask us to permanently delete your Meal Match account and all of your personal data at any time. This page explains how, and what gets removed.

How to request deletion

Send an email from the address registered to your account to:

contact@meal-match.app

Use the subject line "Delete my account" and include the email address on your account. We will verify the request and delete your account within 30 days (usually much sooner), and confirm by email once it's done.

What is deleted

Your account (username, email, encrypted password)
Your profile inputs (age, sex, weight, height, goals, dietary preferences, and any medical notes)
Your saved meal plans, grocery lists, workouts, weight log, and plan history

What may be retained

If you had a paid subscription, basic billing records are kept by our payment processor (Stripe) only as long as required by law (e.g. for tax and accounting). These contain no meal-plan or health data.
Anonymised, non-identifying logs may be retained for security and reliability.

Cancel your subscription first

If you have an active subscription, please cancel it before requesting deletion (from the app's account menu, via the Manage Subscription option), or let us know in your email and we'll cancel it for you so you aren't billed again.
